A well established school of the Emcee Arts, Saturday Mic Live at Catalyst has a provided a safe space for aspiring Hip Hop artists in South Florida to hone their craft since 2008. Promoting the culture and cultivation of skills in the disciplines of the Art of Freestyle Rap, MC Cypher Etiquitte, Rap Battles over Beats and Accapella, Microphone Control, Live Performance Do’s and Dont’s, Stage Presence, and Crowd Control. Recently teaming up with Freestyle Culture advocates ROGUE SCIENCE & Miami’s premier Beat Boxer “305 Beat Box”, SATURDAY MIC LIVE has hosted monthly EMCEE DOJO’s, incorporating organized excersises to teach participants of any age, gender and skill level the fun of Freestyle Rap and encourage Rap Cypher participation from even the newest onlooker. These monthly training sessions, paired with Live Performances by South Florida’s most dedicated up and coming MC’s has helped keep the Emcee Element alive and well in South Florida for the past 2 decades.
